The Deep Tech Award is presented annually by the Association of the IT and Internet Industry, SIBB e.V. and the Berlin Senate Administration for Economics, Energy and Business to Berlin startups with innovative and application-oriented solutions based on software and hardware.
Success
VIRTENIO GmbH is the winner of the Deep Tech Award 2017. In addition to 5 other start-ups, the young company was awarded the prize of € 10,000 in SAP Labs Berlin. The Deep Tech Award is presented every year by the Association of the IT and Internet Industry, SIBB e.V. and the Berlin Senate Administration for Economics, Energy and Enterprises to Berlin startups with innovative and application-oriented solutions based on software and hardware. The awards were presented at SAP Labs in Berlin by Christian Rickerts, State Secretary of the Senate Administration for Economic Affairs, Energy and Enterprises, and SIBB Executive Board members Thomas Schröter and Dirk Stocksmeier.
Jury’s statement
The competition entry “VIRTENIO PreonSolutions” represents a comprehensive and modular overall solution for industrial and worldwide use. The successful and technologically sophisticated integration of hardware and software components for sensor technology, radio communication and evaluation through to a cloud solution enables measurement data monitoring of technical systems and environment/environmental conditions with high robustness and long operating cycles, largely maintenance-free and low energy consumption. Distributed applications and localization functions can also be displayed. In addition, the optional cloud connection includes advanced instruments for evaluation and decision support. The system scores with its wide range of applications from logistics to industry 4.0/ IoT and smart city applications to environmental monitoring tasks. The high scalability and flexibility of the overall system invites you to creatively develop and test disruptive solutions and applications!
